86deep was a force to be reckoned within the garage scene from his time as one half of Smokin’ Beats through to 2016 after which he largely withdrew from production. His releases on Unique 2 Rhythm made a huge impact at the time, gaining active support from house music legends such as Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, DJ Romain, Mike Millrain with ‘Hot Night’ charting at #16 in the ‘Top 200 of 2016 Jackin’.
Hot night is a slick garage work-up inspired by a famous monologue which cherry picked the words ‘Drums, Bass, Piano!’. It features a beautifully balanced bassline under piano stabs, Rhodes and jazzy guitars. It remains one of the most loved tunes in the U2R catalogue and so deserves a re-release with a fresh master for a new decade.
